ABOUT
Country Cottages consists of two spacious and exclusive-use self catering holiday properties. Haymains, sitting in the heart of the leafy Harburn Estate, and The Doocot, nestled into the neighbouring Linnhouse Estate. Both country cottages have the advantage of being surrounded by many acres of mature landscaped gardens and lochs.
Whilst you might feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, both properties are situated in the heart of West Lothian, 20 mins from Edinburgh Airport and 45 minutes from Glasgow airport offering complete privacy and boasting an idyllic unique setting, yet still benefitting from a centralised location with excellent transport links.

Haymains Cottage and The Doocot are both available at a flat rate of £795 per night, all year round.
This price applies regardless of season and reflects the size, comfort, and setting of each property.
For stays of three nights or more, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to discuss availability and potential discounts.
A cleaning charge is applied separately and is payable prior to check-in. Full details will be provided at the time of booking

1 / Where are the cottages located?
Haymains Cottage is located on the Harburn Estate, and The Doocot is located on the Linn House Estate, approximately two miles apart.
Both properties offer a peaceful rural setting while remaining highly accessible. They are:
• Around 5 minutes from Livingston town centre
• Approximately 20 minutes from Edinburgh Airport
• Around 35 minutes by car to Edinburgh city centre
• Approximately 18 minutes by train from Livingston South to Edinburgh city centre
2 / How many people do the cottages sleep?
Haymains Cottage sleeps up to 11 guests, with five double beds and one single bunk.
The Doocot sleeps up to 11 guests.
3 / What is included in the nightly rate?
The nightly rate includes exclusive use of the property, all utilities, bed linen, towels, and standard amenities. A separate cleaning charge applies and is payable prior to check-in.
4 / Is there a minimum stay?
Yes, there is a minimum stay of two nights at both properties.
5 / Are the cottages family friendly?
Yes, both cottages are very family friendly. Each property has a TV room with games and consoles for children, as well as access to smart TV apps such as Netflix and others.
Is parking available?
Yes, there is ample on-site parking available at both properties.
